Warwood Middle School
Ohio County Schools

Replacement of the 1917 Warwood Middle School building was the major project in the 1993 Ohio County Schools Bond Issue. Blackwood Associates, Inc. assisted the County in evaluation of building sites which led to the decision to construct the new school on the site of Warwood Elementary School.

Design requirements specific to this project included:

Maintain integrity of separate schools in adjacent buildings.
Retain the existing school architectural style in new construction.
Maintain elementary school operations during construction.

The two-story, 40,600 SF Middle School addition provides space for 465 (6-8) students.
