DETAILED PROJECT SCOPE

Junior Elementary School Additions/Renovations
River Road, Junior, Barbour County, West Virginia

Specifically, the work consists of the following:

• An addition and renovations and improvements to the existing Junior Elementary School property. The addition will include two finished Pre-Kindergarten classrooms and a connecting corridor. The addition construction will be single story, concrete slab-on-grade floor, CMU structure with steel joists and metal roof deck with a face brick veneer exterior. The addition will include insulated aluminum storefront doors and windows, HM doors and frames and SC doors, casework and countertops, tackboards and markerboards, VCT and resilient terrazzo floor finishes with resilient base, toilet room accessories, plumbing and light fixture, and EPDM roofing with sloping insulation.
• The renovations and improvements to the existing structure will include limited demolition of CMU partitions and a new SC door and HM frame to create a secured visitor entry, new VCT and resilient terrazzo floor finishes and resilient base through-out, portions will receive new ceilings and be re-painted. The existing ballasted roof will be replaced with a fully adhered EPDM roof and rigid insulation along with new metal gravel stops. At the entrance the existing EIFS overhang will be repaired and re-finished and the existing suspended EIFS soffit will be replaced. A fire protection sprinkler system including fire service line will be installed. The existing HVAC RTU’s, exhausts and mechanical ductwork will be replaced. The existing fire alarm system will be replaced and lighting, exit and emergency lighting improvements will be made.
• Site work will include earthwork, concrete sidewalks, chain-link fence and gate, storm inlet and stormline work, foundation drains, overhead and underground utility line relocations, and some lawns/grass work.
