BID DATE: on March 3, 2010 by 10:00 AM ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Copies of the contract, plans, specifications, bid documents, and other bidding information are available for public inspection at the office of MSES Consultants, Inc. Copies may be purchased by contractors from MSES for a non-refundable deposit of thirty-five ($35.00) payable to MSES Consultants, Inc. Copies may also be downloaded from http://www.architects.com/mip. Any questions regarding the bid should be directed to Mr. Charles "Sam" Muncy of MSES Consultants, Inc. at 304/624-9700. Each bidder must submit, along with the bid forms, a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bid bond may be in the form of a cashier's check or surety bond properly secured. The bid bond will be retained by Enrout Properties, LLC and returned upon the contract award and execution of a contract with the lowest responsible bidder. The bidder awarded the contract must provide both a surety performance bond and payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "Bid-Morgantown Industrial Park-TIF Phase I", and must be received no later than 10:00 AM on March 3, 2010 by Ms. Diane DeMedici, Monongalia County Administrator, Monongalia County Commission, County Courthouse, Morgantown, WV 26505. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the date the bids are opened Enrout Properties, LLC reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bid informalities. Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: Feb. 23, 2010 at 10:00 am at 3717 Morgantown Industrial Park, Morgantown, WV LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work involved for the Morgantown Industrial Park- TIF Phase 1 is outlined as follows:
Rail Street from Station 10+00 to Station 18+23.53 will be new road construction including excavation and fill, storm drain piping and drop inlets, roadside ditching and culverts, stone base and hot laid asphaltic concrete (HLAC) in accordance with The West Virginia Department of Highways "Standard Specifications – Roads and Bridges", adopted 1994, or latest edition, hereinafter referred to as WVDOH. Items of work are outlined on the Bid Form.
First Street from Morgantown Industrial Park Road to Station 6+36.75 and Rail Street from First Street to Station 10+00 will be resurfaced and widened including excavation for new shoulders, storm drain piping and drop inlets, roadside ditching, stone base and hot laid asphaltic concrete (HLAC) in accordance with The West Virginia Department of Highways "Standard Specifications – Roads and Bridges", adopted 1994, or latest edition, hereinafter referred to as WVDOH. Items of work are outlined on the Bid Form.
A three feet deep and five feet wide bottom rip rap diversion ditch with 2 to 1 side slopes will be constructed across the site above Rail Street. The ditch will be constructed to discharge into an existing drainway. Diversion Ditch 1 is ancillary to Phase I Construction and may not be selected for construction.
A six (6) inch gas line will be buried along Rail Street from the existing meter at Station 3+10 to beyond the end of project paving at Station 18+35. The WVU Laundry gas tap will be tied into the new 6" gas line. This item is ancillary to Phase 1 Construction and may not be selected for construction. QUANTITIES The following items illustrate the quantity of major construction items that are more specifically outlined in the bid form.
The quantities listed are provided as a reference only of major construction items. Not all work or materials are listed and Contractor must verify quantities when preparing the bid.
